the day: jan 28th. mostly sunny and in the lower 20s. plenty of snow with a firm top, not really crusty, more like stiff. no wind down in the woods.
the adventure: going generally east, head out the dooryard, up and over town hill, down to the marsh. reverse that order and repeat, going mostly west, heading home.
the memories: things looked a lot different with the snow we've had since the same trip on the 15th--then...
on the 28th...
the sun added to the beauty and peace walking back. i should say mostly, at least for me. if you were walking behind me, the glare off my head might have been uncomfortable. lucky pam has photochromic lenses.
lucky pam has photochromic lenses so she can see her tea and cookie!
notes:
- humans like tea and cookies
- porcupines like tree cambium
- deep ~ish snow is good
- sun, at least once a week, is also good
